From the points covered in today’s workshop, here
are a few key points to practice. Remember: these are skills
that get easier and more useful as you practice them and make them established
parts of your life in modern (and often stressful) American life.
Listen to your body, mind, heart
Pay attention to stress “warning lights.”
Breathe your way through the stresses
Keep breathing - don’t hold the breath.
Slow and deepen the breath during stress.
Learn to breathe more from the abdomen.
Visualize the positive
Image yourself filled and surrounded with Light.
Affirm your truth and your direction
Replace the harshnesses you silently think with positivity.
Diet
Reduce the caffeine. Consider tea in place of coffee/cola.
Re-evaluate foods that feel comforting but drain energy.
Life style
Use it or lose it (the body). Invest in exercise.
Spiritual practice
Prayer and meditation. “Be still...”
Remember your Higher Power.
