What is Reiki?

The word Reiki is a simple Japanese term that translates to “universal life energy.” Although in Japan it is a rather generic term, in the West it usually refers to the specific form of life-energy healing touch that was revealed to Dr. Mikao Usui during a spiritual experience he had in the late 1800s.

Reiki Handbook

During its drafting you may see portions of Richard’s Reiki Handbook, the full edition of which will be available online to members before its publication.

Reiki Training

Richard Pinneau will begin offering Reiki training workshops in early 2007. Classes are usually 6-10 individuals and are held at the Abriendo office near the main library. Group rates can sometimes be arranged for support groups of individuals with chronic illnesses. Please call or email to discuss details and options.

Second-Degree Reiki - Advanced Techniques

Description of Second-Degree Reiki:

Full Second-Degree Power:  Healing can be speed even further with the greater flow of energy that is possible with Reiki-II (Second-Degree Reiki).

Mental-Emotional Healing: A variety of types of emotional distress, negative habits, and unpleasant states of consciousness respond beautifully with the Second-Degree mental-emotional healing tools.

Absent (aka Distant) Healing: Healing without having to touch the recipient — or even be anywhere near them.

Reiki Mastership

Meanings and Misconceptions of Reiki Mastership:  In an oriental spiritual healing art like Reiki, mastership is an apprenticeship which includes much more than just a workshop experience. Auditing first- and second-degree workshops by your master-teacher is an important part of the apprenticeship in which the future Reiki master develops mastership in both the healing issues of Reiki practice and the teaching issues of working effectively with varied students. A mastership student is encouraged to immerse themselves in the Reiki training process as much as possible during this time. Rather than set requirements or pre-set timetable for this process, it is best evolved and tailored according to the master-in-training’s circumstances and background.
